With Belmont getting off to a strong start, WPBC trailed 0 - 7 after four ends. Battling back, the gap had narrowed to two shots at 11 - 13 after 13 ends, before Belmont closed out the game winning 19 - 11.

17.6.24 - This evening, Pete, Richard F, Martin and Neil were away at Belmont for the opening round of the Surrey Men's Fours. A strong start saw WPBC lead 7 - 0 after 3 ends, but with Belmont closing the gap to 8 - 6 four ends later, it was game on! Winning 7 of the remaining 11 ends was enough to see us through to round 2 with an 18 - 11 win.

Matching their opponents in the early stages, on what was increasingly found to be a tricky green, WPBC were 4 - 5 after 7 ends.
