Latest League Result Away at Mitcham

14.7.18 – With the tennis still causing havoc with the parking in Wimbledon Park, another hot and sunny afternoon saw us away at Mitcham in our latest league match. Once again we were faced with only being able to take 11 players to the game but this was matched by the 11 players for the home side. Claire, Sabrina and Barry had a close tussle early on and led 12 – 10 after 12 ends. Mitcham however finished the stronger winning 6 of the final 9 ends to take the game 24 – 16. Rosalind, Ange, George and Martin were 10 – 12 after 14 ends but saw their opponents close out the game to win 21 – 12. Maggie, Anne, Ossie and Neil were seven adrift at 14 ends but a 5 on end 18 and a 4, 1 last two ends saw them squeeze home 24 – 21. Match result 2 – 8 (52 shots to 66).
