Win in the Surrey Ladies’ Triples

20.6.24 – This evening, Rosalind, Claire T and Anne hosted Purley in the opening round of the Surrey Ladies’ Triples. With Purley getting off to a flying start, WPBC were 0 – 7 after three ends. Counts of 4 and 3 on ends 8 and 10 narrowed the gap to just 2 shots and another 3 on end 12 saw the scores level at 13 – 13. The final six ends were shared three a piece, but with the home team picking up a 2 and a 3 on the last two ends, it was Wimbledon Park who edged a close contest, advancing to round two with a 19 – 17 win.
