A Busy Day for Wimbledon Park’s Bowlers!

5.8.25 – This morning Neil was down at Eastleigh playing in the 1/4 – final of the National Over 60’s Mixed Team competition, as Surrey played Hampshire. Neil’s rink started well to build a lead of 19 – 3, before a change of jack length saw the hosts dominate the latter stages narrowing the score to 19 – 15. Unfortunately, although Surrey won on 3 rinks it was the hosts who booked their place in the semi-finals at Leamington with a final score of  122 – 107 across the six rinks.

In the afternoon, 8 people took part in this week’s Tuesday afternoon league.

In the evening Neil heard that he had been given the ¼ – final of the District Over – 60’s Singles, as his potential opponents had not played their match. This gives us our 10^th place in the District semi-finals.
