22.8.25 – This evening, Neil was up at South London to play Belmont in the semi-final of the District Champion of Champions. After a slow start Neil found himself 4 – 11 down and struggling, things continued to go well for Belmont who pulled away to lead 18 – 9 after 16 ends. 7 ends later and a turn in fortune saw Neil claw his way back to lead 20 – 19, before Belmont, with the last bowl of the end, took out Neil’s closest bowl, which was in a measure for shot, to see Belmont through to the final with a 21 – 20 win.
