League Match v Heathfield

30.8.25 – This afternoon we welcomed, top of the league, Heathfield to the green. Sue F, Richard F, Vera and Barry kept things tight early on and were 6 – 7 down at 8 ends before Heathfield pulled away in the second half to win 21 – 11. Jackie, Jay, Claire T and Martin had a close match throughout. The scores were tied at 8 – 8 after 9 ends with the second half equally even, but it was Heathfield who picked up a two on the final end to win 15 – 14. Rosalind, Bob, Anne and Neil led 11 – 5 at 9 ends and despite Heathfield taking a 13 – 12 lead on end 13, WPBC managed to secure the win 21 – 16. Match result 2 – 8 (46 shots to 52).
