Heathfield Gala Day

On Monday, up at Heathfield, Jackie, Caroline, Vera and Neil took part in the club’s gala day. Drawn against last year’s winners in their first game, WPBC came off second best, before bouncing back to beat Mid-Surrey, Streatham Park and Magdalen Park. The final match saw them up against one of the Heathfield teams and again their opposition were just too strong. On a swelteringly hot day, finishing 4th out of their group of 12 teams was a highly creditable performance.
