League Match v Heathfield

On Saturday afternoon we hosted Heathfield for our latest weekend league match. First to finish were Anne, Caroline, Claire T and Martin who led 14 – 4 after 12 ends, before a late comeback from the visitors saw the game finish with a 16 – 13 win for WPBC. Second to finish were Gail, Nick, Richard S and Neil who found the opposition in strong form and were 5 – 15 at the half-way point. Most of the second half continued in the same way but a 3 and a 5 on the last two ends saw the scores finish at 16 – 27. Last off were Jay, Mark, Vera and Dave who were tied at 10 – 10 after 13 ends, before Heathfield finished the stronger to win 20 – 11. Match result 2 – 8 (43 shots to 60).
