Two District Singles 1/4-finals v Belmont

On Monday afternoon Neil was at home to Belmont in the District Over 60’s Singles 1/4 – final. After dropping a 2 on the first end, Neil won the next four ends to lead 10 – 2, going on to book a place in the semi-final with a 21 – 5 win. At 6pm, Neil was over at Belmont for the 1/4 – final of the District Mixed Singles. A slow start and some great drawing from Belmont saw Neil 6 – 15 down after 13 ends. Battling hard to stay in the game, Neil closed the gap and by the 20th end was one behind at 17 – 18. Unfortunately that was as close as it got as a poor end from Neil saw Belmont through to the semi-final with a 21 – 17 win.
