Through to the Club’s 10th District Semi-Final

On Tuesday evening Jackie and Neil were up at South London for the ¼ – final of the District Mixed Pairs. With their opponents drawing well from the start this had the markings of being a tough competitive game and so it proved to be with nothing between the pairs over the first few ends. Winning 6 consecutive ends saw WPBC pull ahead to lead 16 – 3 after 9 ends, before S London closed the gap to 17 – 11, just four ends later. With the light fading fast hands were shaken after 15 ends with Wimbledon Park through to the semi-final after a 22 – 11 win.
