22.7.23 - This morning Pete and Martin played South London in the District Men’s Pairs. After close exchanges WPBC managed to pull ahead towards the end, booking their place in the last-16 with an 18 - 15 win.

21.7.23 - This evening players were involved in three away District competitions. Sabrina, Barry and Neil were over at Wandilea for the Mixed Triples. Drawing well throughout they booked a 1/4 - final place with a 20 - 7 win. Up at Magdalen Park, Martin played the Over-60s Singles which he won 21 - 11, to book his 1/4 - final place. 20.7.23 - This evening, back at Wimbledon Park, Bobby played Martin in the District Men’s Singles. Unfortunately for Bobby, Martin was on song and Martin joins Richard F in the 1/4-finals.

20.7.23 - This evening, Anne, Rosalind, Claire T and Sabrina were down at Leatherhead for the 1/4-final of the Ladies’ Fours. After four ends the scores were tied at 5 - 5, before Purley Bury settled quicker on to the rink, pulling away to win 23 - 10. Thanks to Barry, Dez, Neil and Sue F for their support over at Leatherhead.

19.7.23 - This evening, Richard S, Pete, Martin and Neil played Camberley in the semi-final of the Over-55 Men’s Fours. In a close game WPBC won 8 ends to Camberley’s 10 but it was Camberley who advanced to the final with an 18 - 14 win.

18.7.23 - This evening, Sara and Neil hosted Wandilea in the Surrey Mixed Pairs. Unfortunately for Wimbledon Park, Wandilea took to the green far more easily than we did, going on to book their place in the 1/4 final with a win 18 - 7.

16.7.23 - This afternoon the Club 2-Woods Competition took place with 14 people taking part. At the end of the group stages Richard F, Claire T and Neil advanced to the semi-finals as winners of their groups, with Martin joining them as the strongest runner-up. In the semi-finals Neil beat Richard F 6 - 1 whilst Claire T picked up two shots on the last end ...

16.7.23 - This morning Sara and Neil played Wallington in the Surrey Mixed Pairs. Close early exchanges saw the scores level at 6 - 6 after 9 ends, before Wimbledon Park opened up a lead, going on to win 16 - 11. Sara and Neil now join Claire T and Martin in the last-16 of the competition.
