This afternoon we travelled to league leaders Carshsalton in the Mid-Week Triples. Rosalind, Ossie and Neil were first to finish. Picking up two large counts on the final two ends saw them run out winners by 25 shots to 14. Roger, Richard F and Barry battled hard in a close game, winning 17 - 14. Match result 8 - 0 (42 shots to 28).

This evening, Claire, Anne, Martin and Neil were at Streatham Park (neutral green) to play Heathfield in the Semi-Final of the District Mixed Fours. Drawing well from the start WPBC led 11 - 1 after 7 ends, going on to win the game, and book the club’s 4th District Final place, by 26 shots to 11.

This evening Anne (sub for Sara), Barry and Neil played Belmont, at Heathfield (neutral green), in the Semi-Final of the District Mixed Triples. Despite WPBC winning 11 of the 18 ends, it was Belmont who advanced to the Final following a 19 - 16 win.

This afternoon we travelled to Streatham Park for our latest Mid-Week Triples game. Anne, Ossie and Neil found their opponents in fine form going down 8 - 27. Richard F, Richard S and Barry battled hard, coming out on top 21 - 12. Match result 2 - 6 (29 shots to 39).

This afternoon Anne and Neil were at Belmont to play Mitcham in the Semi-Final of the District Over-55 Mixed Pairs. Starting well, Wimbledon Park moved in to a 13 - 6 lead, only for Mitcham to come back to lead 15 - 14 after 17 ends. This afternoon, in a new format, we had the annual match between the ladies and the Men. Games consisted of 6 ends of Singles, followed by two 6 end games of Pairs/Triples. This evening up at South London, Richard F, Pete and Martin played the Quarter-Final of the District Men’s Triples. Unfortunately for WPBC, it was South London who booked the Semi-Final place with a 21 -10 win.

This afternoon Neil was at Belmont, neutral green, to play Mitcham in the Semi-Final of the District Mixed Singles. In a close game, the scores were tied at 16 - 16, before Neil edged ahead to book our second place in the District Finals with a 22 - 16 win.

This afternoon Barry and Neil welcomed Streatham Park in the Quarter-Final of the District Men’s Pairs. Starting with a count of seven on the first end saw WPBC up and running and further careful drawing saw them advance to the Semi-Final with a 28 - 5 win.
