16.5.21 – Our Opening League Match

16.5.21 – This afternoon we welcomed Heathfield to Wimbledon Park for our opening league match of the 2021 season. Once again in May the weather was wet! Luke, Rosalind, Claire and Martin were first to finish, but found the opposition in fine form going down 8 – 31. Anne, Ange, Richard F and Barry led 17 – 7 after 16 ends, but Heathfield finished strongly to leave WPBC the winners by 17 shots to 15. Last off the green were Mary, Alison, Ossie and Neil, who went down 26 – 14. Match result 2 – 8 (39 shots to 72).
