Another Win in the League

21.7.18 – After another successful Saturday morning’s taster session, and with iur latest Bowls party underway at Wimbledon Park, we headed to Merton BC for our latest march in the Wimbledon and District League. Steve, Ange, Sabrina and Pete set off at an amazing pace and were 20 – 0 ahead after 9 ends. Merton then took 7 of the remaining 12 ends but it was WPBC who won 25 – 10. Anne, Luke, Ossie and Martin had a closer game but winning 12 ends to Merton’s 9 was enough to see them win 18 – 15. Claire, Ralph, George and Neil lead until the 8th end but dropped shots in the second half to go down 20 – 28. Match result 8 – 2 (63 shots to 53). Thanks to Ange, Anne and Steve who helped with the tidy up following the bowls party.
