Down to the Wire in the Weekend League

15.6.24 – This afternoon we welcomed Magdalen Park to the green for our first home league match of the season. First to finish, Sue F, Mark, Richard F and Martin put in a strong performance pulling away to win 26 – 13. Anne, Jay, Claire T and Neil found the going tough with some excellent leading from their opponents. 0 – 12 after 6 ends, they held their own for the remainder of the game, losing 13 – 24. Caroline, Rosalind, Richard S and Pete were 0 – 10 at 4 ends, but clawed their way back to be 16 – 18 with one end to play. A three on the last end saw them win 19 – 18 and with it the match. Overall result 8 – 2 (58 shots to 55).
