Heathfield Gala Day

26.5.25 – Today, Jackie, Caroline, Claire T and Neil were one of the 24 teams to take part in the Heathfield Gala Day. Starting the day with a 5 – 5 draw against Magdalen Park they went on to win their next three matches against teams from the host club 5 – 3, 8 – 2 and 8 – 4, before their final match against former Balham players, which they won 11 – 1. Topping their group, as the only undefeated team, in the final they took on a team from Temple BC who were also undefeated in their group. In the final, each side won 3 of the 6 ends, but it was Temple who took first place with a 6 – 4 win. A great day, which coincided with AFC Wimbledon’s promotion and was topped off for Neil by his selection for the Surrey Over-60’s Inter-County Team.
