League Match v Magdalen Park

14.6.25 – This afternoon afternoon we welcomed Magdalen Park for our latest league match. For the first time this season we had 16 players available for selection which is such an encouraging position to be in. In the game itself Jackie, Bob, Claire T and Pete had a close tussle and got to half way trailing 6 – 11. The second half saw them turn the tables, going on to win 17 – 14. Mark, Rosalind, Richard and Martin started well with only one point separating the teams after 6 ends. Magdalen Park edged their way in to the lead during the second half, going on to win 16 – 10. James (making his league debut), Vera, Anne and Neil had a one player advantage over the opposition on their rink, which made quite a difference, as WPBC took the win 31 – 9. Match result 8 –  2 (58 shots to 39).
