League Match v Mitcham

23.8.25 – This afternoon we welcomed Mitcham to the green for the first league match of the weekend. Caroline, Bob, Vera and Neil were in fine form going on from 15 – 4 at nine ends to win 23 – 9. Sue F, Sue R, Mark and Pete led 9 – 8 after 10 ends, but a strong second half saw them to an 18 – 10 win. Rosalind, Jay, Anne and Martin were 5 – 5 at six ends, before Mitcham pulled away to lead 15 – 5 at 12 ends. The last six ends went in favour of WPBC who narrowed the gap to 11 – 18. Match result 8 – 2 (52 shots to 37). A special thank you to Anita, Christine P and Joe for their support at the match.
