League Match v South London

26.7.25 – This afternoon we were away at South London in the weekend league. Caroline, Richard F, Claire T and Richard S started well leading 8 – 3 after 6 ends. 5 ends later and South London had edged ahead by 1. The final ends were shared fairly evenly but it was WPBC who took the win 16 – 14. Jay, Rosalind, Anne and Martin found their opposition in fine form early on and were 0 – 12 after 6 ends. The rest of the game was fairly even with South London going on to take the win 19 – 8. Sue F, Paul, Vera and Barry were 3 – 6 down after 4 ends, but then put together 8 winning ends on the trot to lead 15 – 6, going on to win the game 20 – 12. A very tight match which saw South London win overall by a single shot. Match result 4 – 6 (44 shots to 45).
