Nearly, But Not Quite, in the District Men’s Fours

22.7.24 – This evening Pete, Matt, Martin and Neil travelled to South London to begin the defence of their District Men’s Fours title. South London led from the first end, pulling away to lead 10 – 3 after 10 ends. A single and a four brought WPBC back in to the game and the gap remained at 2 shots with two ends to play. Unfortunately after the South London skip knocked us in for shot on the penultimate end, Neil returned the favour with interest when his last bowl just kissed the jack, moving it enough to drop a three. Final score 12 – 18.
