Second District Semi-Final Place Secured

15.7.24 – This evening, Anne, Claire T, Martin and Neil took on Southey, on what turned out to be a very wet evening, in the District Mixed Fours. In a close game, the scores were tied at 9 – 9 after 10 ends and 15 – 15 after 15 ends, before WPBC edged the last three ends to book the club’s second semi-final place in the district competitions with a 19 – 15 win. The Mixed Fours team join Caroline who is through to the semi-final of the Ladies’ Singles after her 1/4 final opponent sustained an injury.
