Through to the Area Semi-Final of the National Champion of Champions

15.6.24 – This evening Neil took on the champion of Southey in the Area Quarter-Final of the National Champion of Champions competition. It turned out to be a game of two Jack lengths with Southey winning the toss and opening up a 7 – 0 lead, only for Neil to change the length and go ahead 12 – 7. With the scores level at 12 – 12, Neil pulled away again to lead 20 – 12, only for Southey to win the next 5 ends to get back to 20 – 18. Neil then finally got the single he required to go through to the area semi-final 21 – 18.
