What a Great Monday!

24.6.19 – The week got off to a terrific start as we welcomed the older children from Riversdale Primary School to the green. Thanks to Barry for leading the two sessions supported by Anne, Ange, Derek, Rosalind and Vicki. The children had a great time discovering how much fun bowls is and we hope they return soon to enjoy it some more!

In the evening, Pete, George, Martin and Neil played for a place in the Area Final of the Surrey Men’s Fours over at Norbury. A strong start saw Wimbledon Park lead 10 – 0 after 5 ends. 5 ends later and Norbury were one behind at 12 – 11. With the scores level at 15 – 15, Norbury took the lead 16 – 15 at 17 ends, but the final four ends went to WPBC, and with it the game, with a 25 – 16 win.
