League Match Away at Mitcham

31.5.25 – This afternoon we were over at Mitcham for our first league match of the weekend. On a heavy green, the opening ends on all three rinks went to the home club. Jackie, Bob, Anne and Neil picked up a 5 on the seventh end, which gave them the lead and, despite a close contest throughout, they just held on to win 15 – 10. Caroline, Jay, Barry and Pete were kept at bay by their hosts who took the game 25 – 14. Sue F, Rosalind, Richard F and Martin had a close encounter early on, leading 7 – 6 after seven ends, but the remainder of the game went to Mitcham who took the win 24 – 10. Match result 2 – 8 (39 shots to 59).
