League Match v Merton BC

1.6.25 – Back in Wimbledon Park this afternoon, we had our second league match of the weekend as we took on Merton BC. Jay, Vera (making her league debut), Anne and Richard F were never behind, leading 10 – 2 after 9 ends. Although Merton rallied in the second half, the win went to WPBC 15 – 13. Caroline, Elaine (making her league debut), Sue F and Martin led 13 – 5 after 9 ends and although Merton pulled the gap back to 1 shot with three ends left, the win went to Martin’s rink 18 – 17. Matt (making his league debut), Mark, Johnny and Barry were level after 8 ends, but winning 7 of the last 10 ends saw them take the win 26 – 12. Match result 10 – 0 (59 shots to 42).
