Great company – tough bowling!

This afternoon our latest league game took place at South London. With all three Wimbledon Park rinks finding the going tough Luke, Betty, Pete and Martin were the first to finish. Having kept the scores close at 7 – 11 after 9 ends, South London put a run of nine winning ends together to move to 30 – 7. A fight back over the last three ends saw the score finish at 15 – 30. Gay, Anne B, Vernon and Barry were 1- 7 behind at 6 ends and 6 – 16 at 14 ends before their recovery took them to 14 – 19. Last off the green were Cherry, Helen, Jonathan and Neil who kept the first nine ends to single shots at 4 – 5. S London then opened up a 14 – 4 lead before another fight back took Wimbledon Park to a 16 – 16 draw. Match result 1 – 9 (45 shots to 65).
