Fantastic Success at the Primary Schools’ Tournament

Today over at Merton Park Bowls Club, there was the culmination of the 2015 Merton Primary Schools’ bowls Tournament. Unfortunately following the late withdrawal of one of the schools only Cranmer, Joseph Hood (with two teams) and Wimbledon Park were available to take part. Following a number of rain showers the second and third games were shortened but the round robin format was completed and when all the points had been totalled the scores were as follows:

  1. Wimbledon Park: 584 points
  2. Cranmer: 553 points
  3. Joseph Hood A: 522 points
  4. Joseph Hood B: 520 points

Wimbledon Park managed to retain the trophy they had won last year. A big thank you to all the clubs (Merton, Merton Park, Mitcham and Wimbledon Park) and the schools who were involved, along with the Surrey President, Senior Vice President and Junior Vice President who supported the event and presented the awards, to the Merton School Sports Partnership and the Rutlish Sports Leaders and to Barry, Charlie, Cherry, Jonathan and Luke who gave up their day to support the children.
