National Senior Pairs

On Thursday evening Pete and Neil were away at Croydon Municipal Officers BC for the National Senior 3-bowl Pairs. After 9 ends it was the home pair who had settled the better to lead 10 – 4. The next two ends saw WPBC pick up a 3 and with one CMO bowl to go, Pete/Neil were holding a 5, with a measure for 6, only to see the CMO skip draw second bowl. After the 16th end, the gap was down to one at 13 – 14 and on the 17th end WPBC were holding 3 with one bowl left to come. Once again it proved to be a massive bowl for the home side as the skip edged out Pete’s side toucher for shot. A very competitive game ended with a single to the home side and a 16 – 13 win to CMO.
