Two Surrey Matches

Over at Croydon, Sue F, Anne and Claire T were in action again in the next round of the Surrey Ladies’ Triples. Starting strongly, WPBC led 12 – 4 after 10 ends, before Croydon started to mount a come back. After the 18 ends had been completed, the scores were locked at 15 – 15 and unfortunately for us, it was the Croydon ladies who took the single on the extra end to win 16 – 15. Back in Wimbledon Park, Neil played the opening round of the Surrey Men’s Two Woods. Drawing slightly more consistently than his opponent from Rose Hill, Neil advanced to the next round with a 17 – 5 win.
