District Semi-final Number 11!

On Thursday evening Pete, Mark, Neil and Martin were home to Mitcham in the 1/4 – final of the District Men’s Fours. Drawing well from the start WPBC led 11 – 1 after 7 ends, before a change of jack length saw Mitcham close the gap to 11 – 6 two ends later. Getting back on track and winning the next three ends saw Wimbledon Park open up an 18 – 6 lead with six ends to play and although Mitcham took the remaining six ends, careful management prevented them picking up a large score and the game ended with Wimbledon Park players through to their 11^th semi-final, following the 18 – 13 win.
