District Over-55 Mixed Pairs’ Semi-Final

On Wednesday evening up at South London Anne and Neil played Heathfield in the Semi-Final of the District Over-55 Mixed Pairs. In another close game it went down to the last end with WPBC leading 12 – 11. With the Heathfield skip’s third bowl Heathfield drew the shot from the two that Anne was holding. A lucky edge from Neil’s third bowl returned the shot to Wimbledon Park and the final Heathfield bowl pushed the shot bowl onto the jack to give WPBC a rather flattering count of three and a place in the Final.
