District Champion of Champion’s Semi-Final

On Tuesday evening Neil was up at South London for the Semi-Final of the District Champion of Champions competition. In a tightly fought contest the scores were locked at 8 – 8 after 11 ends, 16 – 16 after 20 ends and 20 – 20 after 24 ends. The final end saw Neil draw to within 10 inches with his first bowl and with one bowl left for the Mitcham bowler Neil held three and had covered the back. What followed was the bowl of the match as Mitcham managed to negotiate a short bowl and trail the jack an inch for a shot which Neil was unable to beat.
