This afternoon Neil headed to Mid-Surrey for the quarter-final of the Surrey Area in the National Over-55 Men’s Singles. This evening Claire and Martin were over at Wandilea in the Wimbledon and District Mixed Pairs. Starting strongly Wimbledon Park built up a 14 - 8 lead after 14 ends, only for Wandilea to level at 16 - 16. With the rain beginning to fall, it was Wandilea who edged the final two ends to win 18 - 16. More

This evening Neil welcomed Heathfield to the green for the final Surrey competition of the week, the Men's Singles. In an evenly matched game, it was Neil who edged ahead to lead 14 - 4 after 9 ends, going on to win 21 - 10, to complete a clean sweep for WPBC in this week's Surrey competitions. More

This evening, Barry and Neil were up at Heathfield in the Surrey Men’s Pairs. In the 18 end game, Wimbledon Park battled well early on to lead 13 - 6 after 10 ends. 5 ends later and Heathfield had levelled at 13 - 13. This evening Barry, Richard S and Neil were away at Belmont in the Surrey men’s Triples. 5 ends in and they were facing an uphill struggle at 0 - 8. 3 ends later and they were back in it at 7 - 8. This evening, Neil was over at Mitcham in the Men’s Singles. In a game that was not really a reflection of the score, Neil went through to the next round with a 21 - 4 win. In the District Mixed Triples, Sara, Barry and Neil’s opponents from Heathfield unfortunately had to concede the game due to one of their team’s recent accident.   More
