Away Win in the League

22.5.22 This afternoon we travelled to Heathfield for our first away fixture of the season. With Covid knocking out 3 of our available players, we arrived with a team of 11. Claire T, Sallie, Vernon and Richard S overcame an early deficit to take a commanding win 27 – 12. Anne, Richard F and Barry, were 6 – 0 down after 3 ends, but turned the game around to win 25 – 13, reduced to 19 – 13 after the 25% deduction for having only 3 players. Bobbie (making his league debut), William, Roger and Neil started well, winning four of the first five ends, but dropping a few heavy counts saw them lose 19 – 26. Match result 8 – 2 (65 shots to 51).
