Away Win in the Mid-Week Triples League

25.5.22 This afternoon we were away at Magdalen Park in the Mid-Week Triples League. On what turned out to be a heavy green, the home team settled first with Anne, Vernon and Neil 0 – 9 after 5 ends. Winning 11 of the remaining 13 ends saw the game transformed, with WPBC going on to win 21 – 11. Barry, Richard F and Martin also found the going tough early on, and were 4 – 14 behind at the half way point. The second half, however, saw a change in fortunes with WPBC winning 7 of the remaining 9 ends to level the game at 17 – 17. Match result 7 – 1 (38 shots to 28).
