This morning's taster session saw 12 people on the green, including two of our visitors who had enjoyed their first session and returned today for a second one. Thank you to all club members who attended and helped out.

Barry got off to a great start this evening at home in the Surrey Secretaries Competition. With his Heathfield opponent struggling to find the green, Barry took a commanding lead; the game being conceded to him with the score standing at 20 - 1.

This afternoon's first mid-week triples fixture was unfortunately postponed due to the sustained rainfall. Friday at 6pm sees Barry begin his Surrey Secretary's campaign playing at home - all support welcome.

The club's first outing in the Men's National Double Rink competition took us to Wandilea, the 2012 National semi-finalists. There was certainly no disgrace in the way that we played against strong opposition. Luke, Vernon, Barry and Martin lost 13 - 22, whilst Ralph, Pete, Jonathan and Neil lost 19 - 22. Match result 32 - 44.

This afternoon Wimbledon Park travelled to Meton Manor for the second league game of the weekend. Luke, Sabrina, Vernon and Jonathan played a very tidy game together to secure a well deserved win 28 shots to 8. This afternoon's league match away at Streatham Park proved to be a tough encounter. Alf, Anne, Pete and Martin narrowly lost 16 - 19.
