This morning Barry, Richard S and Neil were at Wandilea in the District Men’s Triples. Unfortunately the defence of their title came to an abrupt end as Wandilea were the convincing winners by 32 shots to 13. More

23.7.21 A Place in Our Second District Semi-Final

This evening, Claire, Anne, Martin and Neil were up at Heathfield for the Wimbledon and District Mixed Fours. In a close and competitive game, WPBC managed to win 13 of the 21 ends, to book their place in the Semi-Final by 18 shots to 13. More

22.7.21 Not to be in the District Men’s Singles

This afternoon Richard F welcomed Magdalen Park to the green in the Wimbledon and District Men’s Singles. In a close encounter it was Magdalen Park who edged the game, and with it a place in the quarter-final, following a 21 - 16 win. More

21.7.21 Through to Our 10th District Quarter-Final

This evening up at Heathfield, Barry and Neil played the Wimbledon and District Men’s Pairs. With Heathfield starting strongly, it took WPBC 9 ends to draw level. The second half however belonged to Wimbledon Park, as Barry and Neil went on to book their quarter-final place with a 21 - 16 win. More

This evening over at Raynes Park, Neil continued the defence of his Wimbledon and District Men’s Singles. Starting well, Neil opened up an 8 - 3 lead after 8 ends, before his opponent dug in to level at 8 - 8. A strong start saw WPBC open up a 14 - 5 lead after 10 ends. 5 ends later and with more accurate drawing the lead had increased to 24 - 7. This afternoon Barry was up at South London for the Surrey Officers’ Bowl. In an evenly matched game, where the scores were levelled 6 times during the match, an incredible 4 on the 22nd end proved crucial.
