District Triples Double Success

1.7.22 This afternoon at Streatham Park we had the first of the day’s district triples matches as Barry, Richard S and Neil played the Men’s Triples. With the hosts starting strongly, WPBC trailed 3 – 11 after 7 ends and 6 – 13 after 10 ends. The second half however, saw a change of fortunes as Wimbledon Park won 6 of the last 8 ends to win 23 – 19.

This evening, in Wimbledon Park, Sara, Barry and Neil welcomed Heathfield for the 2-bowl Mixed Triples. A close match ensued with WPBC edging ahead, only for Heathfield to narrow the gap. Wimbledon Park managed to hang on to win 15 – 12.
