16.7.21 Not to be in The District Men’s Singles

This evening over at Raynes Park, Neil continued the defence of his Wimbledon and District Men’s Singles. Starting well, Neil opened up an 8 – 3 lead after 8 ends, before his opponent dug in to level at 8 – 8. Again Neil continued to draw well, pulling away to lead 13 – 8, before the scores were again levelled at 13 – 13 and again at 14 – 14. The final few ends however went to Raynes Park with more consistent drawing and it was Neil’s opponent who advanced to the quarter-final with a 21 – 16 win.
