19.6.21 A Game of Two Jack Lengths

This afternoon Neil headed to Mid-Surrey for the quarter-final of the Surrey Area in the National Over-55 Men’s Singles. With his opponent starting strongly, Neil found himself at 0 – 11 before getting on to the scoreboard. A change of Jack length saw Neil close the gap before going on to take the lead at 16 – 11. Another change of Jack length and Neil was soon 16 – 19 down. A final change saw him pick up a 4 and a 1 to get over the line 21 – 19.
