10.6.21 A Triple Evening of Surrey Men’s Pairs

This evening there were 3 Surrey Men’s Pairs matches taking place at Wimbledon Park. First off the green were Barry and Neil after their opponents conceded with the score at Wimbledon Park 18 – 3 Wandilea. Shortly after Pete and Martin finished, but found themselves on the end of  some outstanding bowling from their Belmont opponents with Belmont winning 26 – 5. Last to finish, in a very tight game against Temple, were Jatin (making his Surrey debut) and Richard S, who held their own all game to be one shot behind with just a couple of ends remaining. Unfortunately for them, Temple took the last couple of ends to win 17 – 12. A special mention to the Temple lead who helped and encouraged Jatin throughout the game. A wonderful example of sportsmanship and a model to us all. Thanks to Jonny and Richard F for popping down to lend their support.
