3.7.21 Another Busy Saturday

2 first time visitors enjoyed this morning’s taster session, which was supported by 4 club members. In the afternoon, our away league match took us to Streatham Park. Unfortunately with only 11 players available we were once again subject to a points deduction. Luke, Rosalind, Richard F and Martin were 4 – 12 at 9 ends but came through strongly to win 16 – 15. Ralph, Ange, Pete and Barry also had a close game. Winning 13 of the 21 ends got them close to a victory, but the final score was 17 – 19. Claire, Richard S and Neil found their opponents in fine form losing 8 – 24, reduced to 6 – 24 after the points deduction. Match result 2 – 8 (39 shots to 58).

Back at Wimbledon Park we hosted another bowls party, thanks to Richard S and Barry for their help in clearing up after the party had finished.
