3 Close Surrey Pairs Games

This evening all 3 of our Men’s Pairs had close matches, none more so than Pete and Martin who were playing away at Merton Park. After a tight tussle all through the game the score stood at 18 – 18 after 21 ends, necessitating that an extra end be played. On the extra end, it was Merton Park who took the single shot to win 19 – 18.

Over at Rose Hill, Barry and Neil also had a close game which saw the scores tied after 10 ends at 14 – 14. Fortunately the next 6 ends all went to us and the match ended with a 26 – 17 win.

Luke and Jonathan found the quick green at South London less well than their opponents, but kept things close until the 17th end where they were 4 shots behind. Unfortunately dropping a five did not help their cause and they eventually lost 10 – 22.
