A Busy Afternoon in Wimbledon Park

12.6.22 This afternoon the Ladies’ 2 Woods competition took place. With each player playing each other over 6 ends, in a round-robin format, a great time was had by all. At the end of the afternoon Gail and Mary emerged as the day’s winners, having each won 4 games and lost one. Congratulations to all participants for making the afternoon so successful and especially to Sue, playing in her first competition. The final will take place during the finals weekend at the start of September.

Also on the green, Richard F welcomed Mitcham for the District Men’s Singles. In a close game, Richard was just edged out 21 – 13.
