A Close Contest in the District Mixed Pairs

28.7.18 – This morning, alongside our taster session, Alison and Neil welcomed Mitcham to the green for the 1/4 final of the District Mixed Pairs. Starting strongly Wimbledon Park led 9 – 3 after 5 ends, a lead which had increased to 16 – 9 after 9 ends. Unfortunately for Alison and Neil the next 8 ends all went to Mitcham  leaving them 16 – 24 down with 4 ends to play. Despite winning three of the final four ends it wasn’t quite enough and MItcham advanced to the semi-final with a 25 – 22 win.
