A Close Finish to the District Mixed Triples

18.8.25 – This evening, Jackie, Barry and Neil were over at Southey to play Belmont in the semi-final of the District Mixed Triples. A steady start saw WPBC lead 4 – 2 after 3 ends, before Belmont settled, winning the next six ends to lead 12 – 4. Not to be outdone Wimbledon Park battled back going to the last end just two behind at 17 – 19. Unfortunately it was Belmont who edged a single on the final end to book their place in the Final with a 20 – 17 win.
