Another Busy Saturday

After the success of the last few weeks’ Saturday taster sessions which, despite the rather cold and overcast weather, have led to 4 visitors becoming new club members, this morning’s taster session, with much improved weather, saw 7 club members enjoying time to practise on the green. Although no visitors attended today a great time was had by all.

Over at Croydon BC Neil played for Surrey in their Home Counties Match against Middlesex. A narrow defeat on Neil’s rink 17 – 19, did not stop Surrey from dominating the match winning 18 – 4 and by 138 shots to 94.

In the afternoon we hosted the second bowls party of the week. Thanks again to Barry for his help in setting up for the party, providing guidance to our guests and for clearing up at the end.
