Another Day, Another Semi-final Place for Wimbledon Park

This evening Barry, Martin and Neil took on Streatham Park for a place in the semi-final of the District Triples. Drawing consistently from the start the home side were 9 – 2 ahead after 7 ends. Whilst Wimbledon Park continued to draw, Streatham Park opted for a different game plan, playing heavy bowls to try and disturb the heads that had been built up. When this tactic proved successful it was left to WPBC to draw and limit the damage, which they managed to do; when unsuccessful, WPBC picked up shots. Despite each team winning 9 ends, it was Wimbledon Park who secured the semi-final place, the 5th so far this season, with an 18 – 10 victory. Thank you to Pete and Luke for their support.
