Another Nail-biter in the Men’s Surrey Singles

7.7.23 – This evening Neil was at home to Heathfield in the Surrey Singles. With a place in the 1/4 finals up for grabs, there was a lot to play for and the game did not disappoint. With both players drawing well a 27-end marathon took place. Unfortunately for Neil, with the game tied at 19 – 19, his opponent played two phenomenal bowls to play out Neil’s toucher and then draw to within 4 inches to take the game 21 – 19.
