Can They Go One Better Than Last Year?

Luke and Jonathan played their first game in the District Men’s Pairs this evening. Aiming to go one better than in 2014, when they became the youngest ever pair to make the final, Luke and Jonathan took on Belmont at home. Early exchanges were even before the Wimbledon Park pair pulled away to lead 6 – 3 after 5 ends. Unfortunately dropping a five on the next end brought Belmont back in to the game but WPBC scored well over the next few ends to lead 17 – 9 after 11 ends. It was to prove enough as the lead was maintained and their opponents shook hands after 18 ends with Luke and Jonathan winning 24 – 13.
